At 925 PM CDT/825 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
a tornado was located 8 miles southwest of Swiftbird Day School, or
29 miles west of Gettysburg, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
Swiftbird, Swiftbird Day School, Whitlocks Bay Rec Area, and Lake
Oahe.
