  • Tornado Warning issued June 9 at 8:55PM EDT until June 9 at 9:15PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC

    At 855 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
    was located near Ballentine, or 8 miles northwest of Highway 6 at
    Lake Murray Dam, moving east at 5 mph.

    HAZARD...Tornado.

    SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

    IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
    shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
    to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
    likely.

    Locations impacted include...
    White Rock.

    This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 93 and 96.
