Rob said he doesn't like religion in the general sub and he makes the

We have eyewitness accounts that corroborate the existence of Jesus
the Christ. He claimed to BE God and said He would die and rise again
after three days in the ground. He did this - again, eyewitness
accounts corroborate this.
If He managed to do this, then His claim of being God is legit.

Not even Jesus could resurrect himself. The Father gave him life again.
The Trinity doctrine is nonsense.
John 1:18, 14:28, etc.
Churches use the Bible, but add their own ideas to it. The church of

I appreciate the reply, but I'd encourage you to look again at what
Jesus said about Himself. No one takes my life from me, but I lay it
down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority
to take it up again. John 10:18
Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. John 14:9
Jesus didn't just say He was a servant of God. He claimed divine
authority. And the eyewitness accounts confirm He rose just as He
said He would.
You mentioned the Trinity being nonsense, but that truth wasn't
invented later. It is rooted in Jesus' own words, and it was
affirmed by the early church long before councils and denominations:
The Apostles Creed (2nd century) says I believe in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord who was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again.
Not a man resurrected by God, but God the Son acting in unity with
the Father and the Spirit just as He always said He would.
Of course, "The Trinity" is just a descriptor. My claim is that
Jesus is just as much God as the one we call the Father. God
exists outside of time, space, and matter, so to be born as a
man, He had to step out of eternity while still remaining in
eternity.

Yep, and I believe they saw something. I don't believe it came
from another planet, but if enough people say they saw something,
then I believe they did.
Here's the difference: They saw something, but with no explanation
of what it was so they filled in the blanks with their own imagination.
If they had been communicated with by the "aliens" and told where
they came from, there's no way to corroborate that. They can claim
to be from Beta Reticuli (or whatever that place was called), and
there's no way to prove it. Jesus, on the other hand, proved what
He said by doing what He said He would do.
The aliens are a whole different conversation - which I'm happy
to have. :-)

All things except himself.
"Firstborn" means created. By the Father. Son and Father are not the
same. When Jesus said they are "one" He didn't mean the same.
Father = eternal
Son = created
The words father and son are easy to understand. But people like their
