    I'm not the most tech saavy around here, but for me I use DOSBOX as a DOS emulator... and Microsoft made good ole Visual BASIC free a while ago. So, using DOSBOX (which is available for all flavors of OS) you don't have to emulate BASIC at all... if you really need I could go hunt all the links for ya... but a good DuckDuckGo (Or Google) search will easily have you installing both in short order.

    You can also use VB.Net if you want.
    .Net Core 3, and .Net 5 both include VB.Net

    i saw your question about basic for windows 10. if you haven't found
    something already, there is a 64 bit emulator called qb64. it runs pretty
    good, works like the old basic ide, and is made for 64 bit systems.you can
    find it at qb64.net.
