Moving to an echo and network that is more tolerant of political
discussion.

Specifically with pardons, you are 100% correct. Before the election, the
talk was Trump would pardon his political buddies and they will all get
off. So, after the election and before the change of administration, Biden
did exactly what they said Trump would do.
> What if information/investigations prove that Biden pardon receivers committed

They should, just as they should re: some of Trump's pardons. There are
previous Presidents who also pardoned people known to have participated in
sedition and terror bombings, usually shortening or commuting their
sentences.

Biden was the first one I can remember to pardon family members and for
crimes yet uncovered, but there have been many last-days questionable
pardons over recent years, each stretching the bounds of justice.

Clinton did that with the 1983 US Senate bombers. The original insurrectionists who did worse than J6 people.

TBH, I think it speaks volumes about Trumps 2020 exit and what he did NOT do. Listen - I think one of two things needs to happen... and I actually know what I'd PREFER;
Trump should direct the government to collectively, bi-partisonly, pass legislation that limits a POTUS' power of pardon. It could contain all sorts of good language; and pardons must be completed before an election cycle, no blanket pardons - only for already-charged crimes... preferably already-convicted crimes.
If not, tho, I think he MUST investigate even if theres pardon protection and when criminality is found, challenge the hell out of those pardons and not repeat the same covering up of potential crimes on his way out in 2028. I halfway think Trump is gonna surprise even his haters and really work on legacy later in his term. I hope I'm right...
Imagine if he shows that Biden tried to cover up the j6 report and that the Biden family made gains from their political power...
Another thing; pay congress higher wages and disallow stock investments already - I mean come on, we all know its a freaking sham; point is they ALL did what the Biden family did...

In today's world, I don't find anything odd about that. The evil people are busy re-writing history every day.
I find it sickening...

Yep. I was hoping he'd pardon my friend who is in jail for the rest of his life... no such luck.

people are under the impression that the internet is forever.
Articles are scrubbed from news sites and anywhere possible.
One example that always comes to mind is how Geraldo was accused of raping bett middler along with his someone involved in producing. She said they drugged her and raped her in the green room or some place.
Over time, this had been scrubbed to the point where it's barely there.
infact, it was GONE but it's back. even the videos are back. this only happened because she came out again with the metoo movement and renewed her allegation. it also changed from rape and sex to groping.
also matt lauer got in trouble and geraldo defended him.
I specifically remember looking for it years ago to show someone and it was wiped clean from news services.
I have a great memory for things I read and I have people that can back me up on this.
Just like with cosby, the past was ignored and covered until they pissed off someone big, probably some powerful person we don't even know the name of.
then it comes out again.
People love witchhunts, so there's that.

I am not, either. Wikipedia most certainly favors the PC crowd. When
Bruce Jenner came out as trans, they immediately went through and changed
every reference in his article from "he" to "she," even though most of the
accomplishments mentioned were from back when "he" was Bruce and "he" was
competing in male Olympic categories.
I don't mind anything from that moment forward referencing Caitlyn and
"she," but changing it the past information just to be PC is absurd.
> I find it sickening...
Indeed, but I also find renaming the Gulf of Mexico to be absolutely
absurd. If the DOGE was doing its job, it would cite the map changes as a
big waste of money and put a stop to it. But, they are toadies so I doubt
they will say a word.

I honestly thought it might be a dig to get something out of Mexico, like the
Canada 51st state dig at Trudeau, but this is really absurd. There are so
many more important things to worry about.

I believe the media and the past administration has been doing exactly what they say MAGA would do - for four years.
You bring court cases for things that the rich have been doing for decades, in a blue area like New York, or Portland; of course you can get a guilty there... but when it all rolls out, goes to the SCOTUS - there will be nothing there... at all; and they tried EVERY way to force Trump to not take power again. They try to win American support, then they accuse, then they try to win judgments ANY WAY possible, then they go nazi, then they try to murder the guy... its insanity.

The pardons, IMO, are insane. Not a free and just America - and blanket pardons are something we the people should take the power AWAY from. That being said, Trump DIDN'T do what Biden just did - but I think he'll 'have to' on his way out in 4 years - I hope that he doesn't, and that he passes some legislation that changes the ability of POTUS' to doso.
We need that IMO... like - NOW.

I could not remember if it was Clinton or Obama so I didn't say for sure.
Oddly, the Wikipedia articles that used to contain this information have
been "cleaned up" so that you have to know who you are looking for in order
to find the perpetrators. If you search the pardon lists for the
offense, you won't find the more violent ones. :(
Obama did also pardon a member of the group that was responsible for
several pro Puerto Rican independence bombings in the 1970s. That one is
only now mentioned by name in the Wikipedia article.

Yeah, Biden's pardons are something new, for sure, and pretty much provide

I don't think that Trump is above misusing that power, though, if Biden's use
of it is not challenged.
